Rotalin Design - 'No Arms and Linkages'

The Rotalin design eradicates the need for traditional external arms and linkages, which are fragile at best and prone to damage.

All linear to rotary conversion is accomplished internally with a simple, robust design and externally the mounting is compatible with NAMUR VDI/VDE 3845 to accommodate standard off the shelf accessories.

lower-cost

Lower Cost -  30% Less than current designs!

Externally mounted systems, which utilize mounting plates and linkages must be designed and constructed to adapt to each valve and cylinder application, which is costly.

Rotalin needs no external apparatus to be designed, machined and fitted as it provides a Namur Standard mounting pad.

Engineering and bracket costs are History!

"What you see is what you get"

Unlike proximity, sonar or capacitance sensing devices etc, which have no physical connection to the valve position, the Rota-lin internal rotary conversion mechanism is mechanically coupled to the cylinder shaft and rotating external hub.

'If it's indicating closed it's closed'.

Rotalin is ideal for use on fully shrouded or bonneted knife gates, pinch valves or diaphragm valves which inhibit the use of linkages. The internal mechanism is protected against touch and external influences to fulfill the requirements of accident prevention regulations UVV (VBG 5).

Rotalin cylinders are easily adapted to any manufacturers valve, ie pinch valves, plug valves, gate valves knife gates, diaphragm valves, Vane or damper operators etc etc.

In the past difficult to provide indication, control or feedback to these valves The answer is compact simple and cost efficient Rotalin.
compact

Compact Design

When external arms and levers are used to mount accessories they are obtrusive and cumbersome.

With Rotalin all linear to rotary conversion is done internally within the confines of the cylinder and requires no extra area.

Rotalin Accuracy

The Rotalin system is inherently linear, with no arms, pivots or linkages to introduce errors.

With few moving parts the Rotalin system provides precise, positive and accurate feedback of the valve position.
Easy to Calibrate

Rotalin cylinders are provided pre calibrated for a given stroke as required by the customer, however field calibration is quick, simple and easily performed on site after installation.

A wide range of materials can be selected from carbon steel with FRP barrels to full 316 stainless steel.

All shafts are 316 stainless steel as standard, a choice of high and low temp soft goods are available for selection.
